White tanned and vegetable tanned calf skin
IRON RUST" is a burning dyed calf skin that expresses the deep rusty look of black iron over time.
The color has a slight reddish tint and a dull glow in the shadows, giving it the weight of "used iron".
The leather is white-tanned in Japan from calf raw hides, and then tanned with tannin to create a hybrid finish.
The leather has the "strength of the back" and the rich aging effect that is typical of tannin, while at the same time it has the suppleness, softness, and lightness that are characteristic of calf.
In addition to its fine texture, the "tiger pattern" unique to calf appears everywhere, giving IRON RUST's shading a three-dimensional depth.
