T.A.S's WAFFLE SHOULDER BAG was resized and redesigned for this collaboration. The canvas portion has been replaced with STRUM leather, leaving the original thickness intact and creating a bag with impact.
The leather is finished with scratches and grain to give it an impactful look, and has a bony look while also being comfortable to wear.
The leather is tanned in Japan by soaking raw horsehide in a pit tank.
Taking advantage of the characteristic of horsehide that has many scratches, we use only horsehide that has many scratches in particular, and fully tanning it in a pit tank for a long period of time (about 3 months).
The leather is then turned on a taiko while being heated and shrunk to half its normal size (from 2m to 1m) to give it an impactful look with its scratches and graininess.
Full tannin, it has a bony appearance, but by adding more oil, it has elasticity and suppleness, and is a leather that is also comfortable to wear.
The WAFFLE SHOULDER BAG, originally compact in size, has been scaled up to fit a 16 inch laptop computer.
A side pocket has been added to this collaborative item for added functionality.
