What is terrestrial ... Previously Domestic cowhide is called terrestrial because it was traded as rawhide. Domestic raw hides are distributed as an edible by-product and are bred under good conditions, so there are few scratches on the grain surface and there is almost no branding iron like overseas raw hides. Since it is grown over time, the texture of the fiber structure is fine, and it is characterized by unique grain-like texture.
Raw hides less than 6 months old are called terrestrial calfskin, and raw hides 6 months to less than 2 years old are called terrestrial kip.
